People always ask me if its too hot in australia for huskies. Most of the time they ask with a dirty look on there face. People say why dont you shave them. Well let me just get this out there once and for all. You should NEVER shave your husky. The thick double coat they have may look very warming but it actually keeps them cooler in the heat. While Australia is not ideal for there traits, they can live here comfortably. Just dont over exert them in the mid-day heat, give them plenty of swims, Lots of drinking water available. I have a kiddy pool for mine that they love to splash around in. They will tolerate the heat just fine if you do these things.
